The 42nd Extraordinary Assembly of the IGAD Heads of State and Government was held on Thursday, 18th January 2024, in Entebbe, Republic of Uganda. The Assembly was chaired by H.E. Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti and the Chairperson of the IGAD Heads of State and Government. The Assembly addressed the situation in the Republic of the Sudan and recent developments regarding the relation between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
